Only carpet tile can be used for this type of project.

What is the benefit to the different methods I can choose for installation?
Direct glue down without attached cushion
Direct glue down installation of the standard back carpet or any of the high performance backings available is the most popular for commercial installations. Commercial carpets today are designed to be installed and to perform many years. This type of installation eliminates any possibility for buckles developing in the carpet causing a need to have the carpet re-stretched.

Direct glue down with attached cushion
Direct glue down installation of broadloom carpet with an attached cushion back carpet is the only way this product can be installed. Having an attached cushion provides the user with features such as a 15 year no edge ravel wet/dry, no delamination, no edge ravel, 20lb. tuft bind, and moisture barrier. This translates into a very high performance carpet with additional attached pad under foot.

Double stick or double glue down
Double stick installations first glue the pad to the floor and then glue the carpet to the pad. This is more expensive of carpet installation types. Some manufacturers do not warrant this type of installation.

Stretch-in over separate cushion
Stretch-in installation has been the conventional method of installation using a separate pad and carpet. This method is used usually in single offices where a very plush feel is required or under pattered carpet such as hotel corridors and lobbies.

Carpet Tiles
Carpet tiles are usually installed using an adhesive method. The adhesive is a "releasable" adhesive allowing the carpet tile to be removed from the floor when necessary to gain access to the floor underneath.
